One line on the problem you solved. Not "we made a nice logo" — something closer to "an identity that stays consistent from packaging to the Amazon listing".
Who the client is, what they sell, and why they needed a new identity. Two or three sentences.
Name the real problem. The old mark fell apart at small sizes, or every channel looked like a different company, or nothing set them apart on a shelf full of competitors — whichever was actually true.
One sentence on the problem, one on what it was costing them.
The one decision that mattered most, and the reasoning behind it. Not the decoration — the logic.
What the client can do after handover that they couldn't do before.
A primary mark, alternate lockups, and an icon — each with a defined place to live. The guidelines say which one goes where, so nobody has to guess later.
Every colour has a job. Hex codes sit on the page so the client's own team can use them without asking us.
A logo on its own proves nothing. You only find out whether the system works when it lands on real surfaces.
"Ask the client for two sentences and paste them here. One honest line from them does more work than a paragraph you wrote yourself."
